Why Stonewall fest?
This vibrant community event honors the legacy of Stonewall while bringing people together for a joyful, powerful day of visibility, unity, and celebration for the LGBTQ+ community and allies.
Asheville has a strong PRIDE history, and AVL Stonewall Fest is bringing June PRIDE back in a bold way in 2026. Built for the community, this event is a chance to celebrate,
connect, and show up proudly together.
The main event, AVL Stonewall Fest is on Saturday,
June 27th. The event will feature live entertainment, drag, some DJ time, food and more. A great selection of vendors and sponsors will join us on the fun-filled day at Asheville Yards. Starting at 2PM the gates will open and the music will set the tone for an energetic day. Our MC, Divine is a treasure and will surely have some fun with the crowd and the live entertainment is sure to be a hit with several performers and Lyric ending the night with some powerful music.

Our History
We started our journey in 2019 setting out to raise awareness and funding for local nonprofit organizations. Since our inception we have raised over 45k for local organizations. We believe in building our community, building bridges and recognizing the great work done in
Western North Carolina and beyond.
Sunday Tea Dance Events
Sunday Tea Dances were a tradition in the gay community bringing people together in a safe space to meet, greet and celebrate. We revive the tradition and bridge our communities every 2nd Sunday each month.
Our Voices, Our Stories
‘Our Voices, Our Stories’ is dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and sharing the diverse lived experiences of gay men in
Western North Carolina.
Through personal narratives, oral histories, and multimedia storytelling, we aim to honor the resilience, identity, and cultural contributions of our community—past and present.
Since the beginning Banks Ave Bar has hosted our monthly tea dance events. Their generous support helps us raise money for the beneficiaries and allows a
safe and fun space to gather.
